Priscilla Schwartz relocated to Las Vegas in 1991 and quickly made this great city her home. She became actively involved in the community as a volunteer for several local organizations and quickly assumed volunteer leadership roles serving as Director on numerous non-profit organization boards.
One organization that greatly benefited from Mrs. Schwartz community spirit was Nathan Adelson Hospice. Ms. Schwartz responded to a community need when she learned of a shortage of bereavement services in our community. With the desire to fulfill a dream of appropriately honoring her late husband Walter, she generously contributed funds to build the Walter L. Schwartz Center for Compassionate Care.
Through Mrs. Schwartz's altruistic heart, Nathan Adelson Hospice and the Center for Compassionate Care can offer critical bereavement services to people who need them most and leave a lasting legacy to her late husband.
In addition to her current philanthropic endeavors, Ms. Schwartz has left instructions in her estate to endow the bereavement services offered by the Walter L. Schwartz Center for Compassionate Care and the Indigent Care Fund at Nathan Adelson Hospice. This legacy ensures that grief support and hospice care will continue to benefit all members of our community for many years.
